Carnivals

Here at the Soul of Rock 'n' Roll we run a blog carnival called the Carnival of Rock 'n' Roll. These carnivals feature the posts from fellow music related bloggers from across the Internet. In the future, other we may also run other carnivals which will also be included under this heading.

Carnival of Rock and Roll - September 2007

Another interesting month for the Carnival of Rock 'n' Roll. I'm glad to see some new people submitting their work and some new ideas as well. Lets see what we got:

Fitbuff, sent along an interesting piece on the Mozart Effect, and although not dealing really with rock and roll, it's an interesting read about exactly what kind of effects music has on us, and apparently the New York Jets. Check it out: New York Jets Listen to Mozart on the Football Field

Carnival of Rock and Roll - August 2007

It was actually a pretty slow month for the Carnival of Rock 'n' Roll, but there were still some interesting posts to check out.

We had another two interesting posts from Sheena Metal over at Music Highway.

The Green-Eyed Monster - Are Your Friends Really Happy For Your Success?

Carnival of Rock and Roll - July 2007

Well, there was quite a turnout for the Carnival this month, which I'm glad to see, with lots of interesting articles from some repeat contributers as well as some new comers.

Jamie over at the Altrockblog sent a great review of the latest release from Circa Surviver (a band I've been looking into briefly myself recently):Album Review: Circa Survive "On letting Go"

Carnival of Rock and Roll - June 2007

This is the newest edition of the Carnival of Rock 'n' Roll, a blog carnival hosted here on the Soul of Rock 'n' Roll. As there have been before, there were some interesting contributions definitely worth checking out.

Sheena Metal over at Music Highway, submitted another two interesting pieces called: Be Committed...You'll Never Be Famous If You Don't Show Up!

Carnival of Rock and Roll - May 2007

This is the inaugural edition of the Carnival of Rock 'n' Roll, a blog carnival hosted here on the Soul of Rock 'n' Roll. There were a lot of interesting contributions, and as always, not everyone was accepted, but most were good and pretty interesting.

Charles H. Green over at Trust Matters sent a pretty interesting post thats very deep revolving around attempts at building guitars (interesting because I've built two myself). A very thought provoking little piece: http://trustedadvisor.com/blog/101/

Carnival of Rock and Roll - April 2007

This is the inaugural edition of the Carnival of Rock 'n' Roll, a blog carnival hosted here on the Soul of Rock 'n' Roll. There were a lot of interesting contributions, and not everyone was accepted, but most were good and pretty interesting.

Christine Kane talks a bit about how new songs are necessary but can be a little scary for both the artist and the audience in: Rust Never Sleeps
