I'm not an overly religious person, but I thought I'd take the time to wish the Christian readers out there a happy Easter holiday.
I don't know about the rest of you, but every religious holiday I feel a slight urge to listen to a little of the quality religious flavored rock and roll out there. I don't mean Christian Rock, as I'm not really a fan of that. Instead I like to listen to the soundtracks to I Jesus Christ Superstar or .Godspell The latter is especially one of my favorites... I'm pretty sure I've mentioned that before on some other religious holidays. Although they are religion based, I also just find both of those albums great musically and so would recommend them even on regular days.
Being less than overly religious, on these holidays I'm also compelled to listen to albums like Aqualung from Jethro Tull. That might seem odd, but there's a lot of religious questioning and undertones in that album... it's not exactly a pro church album though I'll admit.
No matter how you decide to celebrate, if you do celebrate Easter, I hope you have a good one and are able to incorporate some great music.
